On SparkPeople I’m a member of a team called Get Off Your *Ahem* And Move (GOYAAM) which is the best team I’ve been a member of, ever. One of the regular activities we do is set a monthly GOYAAM plan, goals we want to achieve during the month, our workout plan, etc.
Since I couldn’t sleep last night, I did mine then! I don’t have many, but I need to focus on committing myself to these goals, so I didn’t want to over do it.
So, my goals for this month are:
- Start and stick with the 13 week Couch to 10K program – I’ve been OK running for 20 minutes for a while now and need a structured plan to stick to to increase my runs. This is the perfect plan as my goal is to be able to run 5 miles before December!
- Log all my food on SP and stay within my calorie range – I’m having a bit of trouble foodwise lately. Yesterday was a particularly bad day. So from today all food will be counted again. I need to find the right balance. When I started logging 2 years ago I was always over my range, now I seem to be under when I eat right. I just can’t seem to get it right!
- Spend more time outside – With the exception of May when we were in Mallorca I have spent hardly any time outside this year. As this time of year is my favourite I may as well enjoy it! I’d like to start walking during my lunch breaks when it’s nice out and now that it’s cooler it will be nice to go hiking at the weekends. Must buy wellies.
So there you have it. I was going to start running yesterday but managed to sleep half the day away and as I have not slept at all since then I’m not going to chance running today. Here’s hoping I sleep tonight so I can run tomorrow! If it manages not to rain too much today I will definitely go outside for a walk.
