Today was my first day back at work and due to the snow that has frozen into ice over night, I’m working from home! Hubby is too and it’s always funny when he claims I’m disrupting him when I’m sitting here not making any sounds other than typing and clicking!
Working from home or having a day off always usually throws me off food-wise. I either eat way too little or way too much and not just what I would normally have if I was in the office. I was reading one of the 4 health and fitness mags I acquired during my travels and one tip that was suggested was packing lunch as if you are going to work, even if you aren’t. This stops you from stressing over what to eat and keeps you on track. It’s excellent advice and although I didn’t pack my lunch, I have been really good today with a bagel w/ light cream cheese and juice for brekkie, a clementine for a snack and a tuna sandwich and salad for lunch. I’ve even got my water bottle on my desk just like I would at work, so I’m getting all my water.
The best thing about working from home for me is that I can work out as soon as I’m done. In the office I usually have no problem getting myself pumped up to go home and work out but the 20 minute drive home interferes and by the time I get home I have to talk myself into it again.
I’m really looking forward to working out tonight. It will be my first work out of 2010 and I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet. I’m thinking a Jillian DVD, but that might be a bit hardcore to start. Maybe that’s what I need, though. Or I could run, or do kick boxing, or EA Active, or another DVD or a stability ball work out… or yoga.
It’s such a tough decision. Argh!
