Yes, it’s taken me a month to realize that it’s a new year!
OK, so not really, but I’ve been trying to regain some control and routine in my life since the holidays. Just when I thought I had I got sick! So having been off work for the past 4 days I am finally going to the doctor today to see if I can get better a bit quicker.
So. Resolutions. I don’t really do resolutions anymore, but have goals, no, not goals, more like lifestyle changes, that I would like to accomplish. This year it is to focus on losing weight. Seriously losing weight. We’re not talking a few pounds here, since according to my height I’m about 100lbs overweight. My initial (short term) goal is to lose 30. If I do that I know I will have the motivation to do the rest.
The holidays were hectic, but nice. My dad came over and it was good to spend time with him. I’d like to go “home” for Thanksgiving this year, I haven’t been back in the states for almost 2 years, so I would like to go back this year. It’s just a matter of paying for it…
