I forgot to mention in the previous post that my engagement and wedding rings will soon all be sorted out!
I don’t think I ever mentioned here but while in Mauritius in August I forgot my rings were on and *woosh* off they came in the ocean! So we put a claim in on our insurance and after much hassle and chasing we finally had a call to say that they are ready to replace them with their jeweler or give us the money to do it with someone else!!!
So… while we were out and about today we had a look at our jeweler, where we got the original rings, and had a chat to the bloke about it all. He’s going to give us the 20% discount that the insurance company get from their own jeweler so that we can get the rings we want! So we picked one out and it’s being re-sized this week and maybe, just maybe! I’ll get it for Christmas!!
This ring is what I originally wanted – not that the ring my husband picked out before was *bad* but it wasn’t the ring I dreamed about! The ring I lost was a .30 carat princess cut (square) diamond with a platinum ring. This one is a .33 carat round diamond with a platinum ring. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
