Tomorrow I’m back at work after what feels like an eternity off (17 days straight!). I needed the time off after not having any holidays since June and massive project work the last half of the year.
I had plans for my time off, but what usually happens when you aren’t required to get up every day? I slept. I needed the rest, but now I’m nocturnal, and can’t sleep when I’m supposed to! Ah well, after this week back at work I’m sure that will be sorted. 🙂
I did get quite a bit done these last 2 weeks though, clearing out the spare bedroom of most of the junk that was stuffed under the bed, giving nearly a third of my closet away to charity, and other various ‘spring cleaning’ activities.
I also planned my workouts until our holiday in March – restarted Insanity last week which I’ll finish just before we go to a warm island somewhere (destination TBD).
Today has been spent doing some last minute things, the last few boxes from Christmas back to the garage, sorting the last of the stuff (buying more storage boxes for it to go in!), and prepping for this week.
I’ve made granola, written my meal plan for the next 5 days, and next on the list is to think about what I’ll wear to work this week and get everything ready to save me time in the mornings.
I’m not looking forward to returning to work, but it’s always difficult after a holiday to go back. The first week will be the hardest, but fingers crossed I’ll have a pretty good reward at the end of the week! I’m exciting to get back to working towards my goals and feel rested and ready to take on the next phase of work and my life.
