When the going gets tough, sign up for a 5K?

I didn’t mention this in my last post on Friday, but that day was pay day. We weren’t paid. It’s Tuesday now and still nothing. And we don’t have any idea of when we will be paid.

Needless to say this is very frustrating and horribly stressful. I’m already stressed out enough, I didn’t need this to add to my already full plate of things going on.

The weekend was brilliant, I didn’t worry about much and we all had a really great time. I got a little sunburnt from being on the beach all day, I was hanging on Sunday after 6 bottles of wine between 3 of us and way too much pizza and we signed up for the Race For Life in Isle of Wight.

Yeah, you heard me. I’m running a 5K for Cancer Research UK on the 25th of July. In Isle of Wight.

I started (well, re-started) Couch to 5K yesterday. I’ve got plenty of time to get through it and hopefully speed up a bit. My goal is to run the whole thing and I’d like to do it in under 40 minutes if I can.

If you’d like to sponsor me and help me raise money for Cancer Research UK, you can do so here and I’d be very appreciative!

I am running in memory of my Dad’s parents, both of whom suffered from Lung Cancer. I’m so happy to be able to do something to and to help others affected by cancer!

So, there’s a lot going on (in-laws are still with us too!) and I’m trying to not become to stressed out, especially with the things I can’t do anything about.

But maybe I have a few decisions to make.
