Living for the Weekend (and Lots of Books)

That’s totally how I feel lately! I’m so glad tomorrow is Friday and that the weekend will finally be here. We aren’t doing a lot really. Hubby’s dad is coming from Spain for a few days so it will be really nice to see him and I’m having my hair done, another foil session and another 2 shades lighter! I’m really loving my hair each time we go lighter so I can’t wait to see it. Hopefully I will find the courage to go into the tattoo shop and either a) make an appointment or b) get my first tattoo done! I’m trying to get Hubby to come with, but he’s not into it. Which is fine, but I’d love for him to be with me as he is the inspiration behind the tattoo I want and it’d be nice to share the experience with him. Even if he doesn’t like it!

I need to go workout, I’m totally procrastinating right now. I had a rest day yesterday because I was so sore from boxing the previous night. The muscles in my back are still screaming at me in agony, but I know it’s because they like it really… Tonight I’m thinking incline intervals on the treadmill again, but instead of music tonight I’m going to go with Gilmore Girls. They always cheer me up and I just love them. I wish I was Lorelai. Well I wish I was either of them, but Lorelai a bit more.

I have been devouring books like there’s no tomorrow since Christmas. I’m on my 5th book now. Here’s what I’ve read since December:

  • Traitors Gate by Kate Elliott (Book 3 in the Crossroads series)
  • The Magician’s Apprentice by Trudi Canavan (Prequel to The Black Magician Trilogy)
  • The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
  • Son of Perdition by Wendy Alec (Book 3 of The Chronicle of Brothers)

I’ve just started Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire, the sequel to Wicked. I have Best Served Cold by Joe Abercrombie, which I started briefly in November, and This is Your Brain on Music: The Science of a Human Obsession by Daniel J. Levitin still in my pile to read before I’m allowed to buy more. I’m betting I have these three done before we go away at the end of March. Which means new books for holiday, yay!

Okay I think I’ve procrastinated enough for tonight. Time to go kick some incline butt.
