And these could be the best or darkest days
The lines we walk are paper thin
This line from So Close by Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness (his latest single, which is awesome by the way) is pretty accurate these days.
I don’t write about politics so I’m not going to go on about it but it seems no matter what side of the spectrum or issues you align with there is a lot to think about. From Brexit to Trump and everything in between, it’s all a big mess in my opinion but that’s neither here nor there. I’m in the middle of all those things, having ties to both the UK and US I get both sides of every coin in terms of perspective and that’s not always a great thing.
There are a lot of people that believe these are the darkest days. I’m inclined to agree to a point. Sure things are bleak in a lot of ways, but if the Women’s March shows us anything, it’s that we have to have hope.
Hope leads to fighting back and making the best of what is a pretty crappy situation. Without hope, nothing will change. We can make change happen by choosing hope and fighting back against injustice and lies.
So these could still be the best days, big things are possible if we stay hopeful and work for them. The lines are indeed paper thin, what will you choose to do?
